Focusing on stuff that has no real inherent value to me is incredibly difficult for me to pull off.
I simply don’t try to pay for stuff that I know is stupid or unneccessary when I can help it.
I don’t fall for special incentives with hidden costs. The usual door to door sales people get a door slammed right in their face. But, there is also a down side to being this way, of course. I have passed up possibilities that I have kicked myself repeatedly afterwards for not taking full fortune of. Many times I have actually cost myself some cash being the way I am. I have a wonderful father in law who will buy any as well as every extended warranty out there on the market. It staggers my mind to know of the cash has been thrown away. However, it has paid off for him at least once or twice when the Heating as well as A/C failed. I have to say that he got that cash out of that extended warranty deal. While I am not really an extended warranty type of person, I do firmly understand the value of preventive service. The Heating as well as A/C plan located at our home is quite costly. The manufacturer’s warranty was registered long before I even turned it on. As soon as the entire replacement was over, I called the Heating as well as A/C corporation from down the street as well as signed up for the seasonal Heating as well as A/C service package. There is no way on earth that I would spend the amount of cash on something such as an Heating as well as A/C device as well as not take care of it.
