The lack of air conditioning was brutal for our mom in the hospital

A majority of medical facilities are kept cooler to prevent germs but this particular one evidently was not one of them

While on a recent trip our mom fell plus damaged her hip really bad. Even though she was away from our property she was very lucky to have health coverage. She was taken to the local hospital to be evaluated plus found that they needed to do surgery to repair the severe damage. The people I was with and I were sad about her but had no way to actually go to where she was so the people I was with and I had to trust that the medical workers would do fine work. The people I was with and I waited anxiously to hear from her after she was done with the surgery. When she finally called she said that the surgery was successful plus that she would only need to stay at the hospital that night. The people I was with and I thought that was a bit short because it wasn’t like she could just travel the multiple hours to get back to our property. She said that she had arranged for a hotel room plus that she legitimately couldn’t wait to get out of the hospital because the temperature control settings were off! The people I was with and I asked her about her treatment while there plus she said that the health workers were good plus so was the staff but the building itself was terribly uncomfortable with poor temperature control settings. She said that the entire hospital was tepid plus muggy and she wished she had some air conditioning. She was actually on vacation in the South where hot plus cold temperatures were a bit warmer anyway but she said that she didn’t get why the hospital was so overheated. A majority of medical facilities are kept cooler to prevent germs but this particular one evidently was not one of them. When she asked about it the staff told her that the local population was entirely used to warmer hot plus cold temperatures plus they often grumbled of being too nippy even at the current temperature control settings.
