When the technician came out to take a look at the furnace he found a few minor issues that may have turned into something more had we not found them early in the season
Winter can mean different things to different people in different climates. In a southern climate, winter might just mean lower temperatures and not going to the beach to get a tan. However in the area I live, it means snow, boots and big puffy jackets. It also means a lot of fun activities with the kids like sledding, snowball fights and building snowmen. Winter means fun as long as you don’t mind wearing an extra layer. While we get the opportunity to do a lot of things outside some others don’t get to do, it also means making the decision like when to turn up the heat and let the furnace kick in. I’ve never been one to stack the logs and use a fireplace to keep warm so I rely highly on making sure that my furnace is in working order come the colder months of the year. Last winter a quick call to set up an appointment for an HVAC technician to come out and do some routine check, which is usually a yearly event in my home, was our saving grace. A Lot of companies can get a heating technician out to your home rather quickly as long as you call soon enough. Lucky for us we did just that. When the technician came out to take a look at the furnace he found a few minor issues that may have turned into something more had we not found them early in the season. Our igniter was on the border of needing a new one and may have gone in the middle of the night leaving us to wake up to no heat.
